We Are One Nation: Join the March for Justice on October 2

Everyone in America deserves a just and fair chance to achieve the American Dream.

If that's a notion that gets your heart beating a little faster, then make some time this weekend to join more than 100,000 progressives as they march on Washington for equality, jobs and justice.

One Nation Working Together is a social movement of individuals and organizations "committed to putting America back to work and pulling America back together." On Saturday, October 2, 2010, individuals and organizations from across America will gather in Washington, DC, at the Lincoln Memorial, to demand that government take action and implement the changes they voted for in the 2008 election:

One Nation Working Together is about a better future... a future of justice at home and peace abroad, where we create good jobs for all of us and take on the great challenges we face as a nation: rebuilding our economy; respecting all families; educating all our children in safe environments; transforming how we use energy; ensuring safe, vibrant, diverse communities; and providing for an economic future built on the principles that America has always aspired to achieve.
With poverty among women now registering at 13.9 percent, 15.4 million children living in poverty and nearly 1 in 5 women currently uninsured, it is clear that for too many of us -- women and children particularly -- the American dream is slipping further and further out of reach. Fixing the multiple, devastating problems plaguing our society will require input and solutions from all of us, and this weekend's march is a significant step in the direction of letting our government know that our quest for a more just society did not end with the Presidential election -- the fight, in fact, lives on.

The Ms. Foundation for Women stands with the hundreds of thousands of individuals fighting for jobs, justice, education, health care -- this weekend on the Mall and every day of the year. Add your voice: learn more about how you can participate in this weekend's rally for justice.
